Swirly Cones

Welcome folks, to the Albero + Cioccolata Gatcha Fest Part Deux, also known as the TOSL Non-Fat Prim Food Feast.  Keeping in tradition with my previous release, I made more primmy summer treats that's easy on the scale and the wallet.

As you will see for yourself, I had a little too much fun creating flavors (and naming them) I actually lost track of how many there are, but it's somewhere in the 100's.  Each and every swirly cone is delightfully textured and with its own unique name.  So, if you're a prim foodie and you like cheap tasty thrills, head on down to the Albero Event Park and grab a dozen or so cones!

Shoe-shoe-shoe Fair 2011!

Thank goodness blogger is back up after a prolonged maintenance check! Alas, I am a couple days late posting this, but do not worry, my friends, your beloved shoe fair lasts until May 27 so you still have plenty of time to shop!

Phoenix Chapman and the other amazing organizers behind the annual Shoe Fair have once again pulled off an amazing event. One of my favorite things about Shoe Fair and working with Phoenix (and what brings me back year after year) is that they always choose to collaborate with an excellent fundraising partner. Like last year, Shoe Fair 2011 will be fundraising for Soles 4 Souls, an organization that collects both new and used shoes and gives them to people in need. Children and adults all over the world have received shoes from S4S... often times these shoes were the very first pair they have ever worn or owned.

50% of all TOSL sales at the shoe fair will be donated to S4S. Here's a direct link to the TOSL booth. Please see the Shoe Fair official blog for more info about the fair and other designers!

*Juicy Lips* Gatcha Gatcha!

Gatcha games are here again!  For the cash-strapped, the Albero+Cioccolata Gatcha Festival is an excellent place to win some amazing (and amazingly inexpensive) prizes from very talented designers.  I had such a great time shopping around the different gatcha machines that I almost forgot to write this post :P

I realize it's not quite summer yet, but what the heck... who doesn't enjoy popsicles and artificial food coloring stained lips all year round?

Each *Juicy Lips* prize set includes an animated popsicle AND a lip/tongue stain tattoo and only costs 40L per play!  Everything is transferable so you can swap colors with friends.  Keep playing to win the rare rainbow prize.  So bring your spare change, round up your friends and get ready to play!

Gatcha fest is taking place at the Albero+Cioccolata Event Park.

Project FUR Japan

Project FUR Japan just opened tonight, so I'm not *too* late getting this post up :)  Following the successful Pacific Crisis Fundraiser, hundreds of SL's talented creators have come together again to help the animals victims of Japan.  You, too, can show your support by shopping! 100% of your generous contribution will be donated to Japan Earthquake Animal Rescue and Support (JEARS).

Blazin Aubret, Sanura Snowpaw, Tristan Careless and the other organizers of Project FUR Japan have poured their hearts and souls into putting together a truly amazing event.  The touching backstory behind Project FUR and information about more ways in which you could help can be found on the official Project FUR blog.

TOSL has created a special *Animal House* exclusively for benefiting the animal victims of the Japan earthquake.  The animal house is available here on the Project FUR sim in Plumhill.  We've also set up a few vendors in the TOSL main store for quicker access (and less lag).  Thank you so much for your support!

For Our Friends in Japan

On March 11, 2011, Japan was devastated by the Kanto Earthquake, a 9.0 magnitude quake, followed by a deadly tsunami that destroyed a great part of eastern Japan and left many homes and lives in ruins.  Moreover, Japan now faces the threat of radiation exposure following multiple explosions at a nuclear power plant that endangers both citizens and foreign rescue workers.  Getting food, water, and other aide to those affected by the crisis will be an incredible feat, and our friends in Japan will need all the help we can give.

The following is a list of fundraisers in SL.  We're trying to keep the list current, so if you know of more, please send a message to Quintlan Quimby!

Linden Bears
Created by Linden Labs.  You'll receive a  cuddly linden bear for your donation of 300L, 1000L, or 3000L.  All donations will go to the Red Cross.

Pacific Crisis Fundraiser
From March 16th - April 10th.  Proceeds will go to Americares.  Various designers from across the grid have contributed their creations to this event.  TOSL is a part of the PCF event and will be donating 100% of all profits to help the victims affected by the earthquake and tsunami.  (I should note here that while some vendors will donate 100% of your contributions to the charity, others will only donate 50%.  Personally, I have a big problem with designers making money off of an EMERGENCY fundraising event and I urge everyone to look closely at the donation percentages before you buy anything.)

Move for F of Japan
F is for the Future(未 来)
F is for Fundraising (募金)
F is for First life (ファーストライフ)

... And F is for Friends.  Move for F is an ongoing fundraising event that features many of our favorite Japanese designers, and more are joining!

Help Japan in SL
Another fundraising event with proceeds going to the Japanese Red Cross.

TOSL has made 6 new items exclusively for fundraising for Japan.  These items are currently available through the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser and in the TOSL main store and Albero store.  100% of the proceeds will be donated.

Woo hoo!  The Relay for Life Fashion for Life event has just hit the 3.5L million mark after a successful week.  With only 4 more days to go, please help us reach our goal of 5L million!

Follow the SLURLS below to reach each of the 9 exquisitely designed sims.  (TOSL is located on Arbus, but because flying has been disabled to encourage shoppers to walk by every booth, the best way to reach the TOSL booth is to first land on Irving Penn and follow the corridor.)

Meet the New Classics

After years of saying that we'd make stuff for the guys, we finally did it!  A brand new TOSL men's line will be making its debut at the I <3 Originals Fair this weekend.

(Actually, a few overcoats are already out for testing at the main store, but shush... you didn't know that.  Pretend you never saw them.  Pretend we are totally professional.)

Who is that hot guy in the ads, you ask?  That is the awesome Trace Osterham of Theosophy, lending his good looks and amazing photography skills for our exploitation, because the girls at TOSL make for some ugly lookin' dudes.

For ladies who like to wear their guys' stuff, no worries!  We've included smaller, ladies' sizes in all of the men's clothing to make the fitting process a tad easier :-)

Love is Tender, Love is Tough

TOSL is pleased to participate in the 2nd Annual I <3 Originals Fair (February 5th - 13th)!  Since Valentine's Day is coming up, our shop's theme this year is "Love is Tender, Love is Tough:  a Love Story of Leather and Lace."

We'll be introducing a brand new men's line at the fair, modeled by the amazingly hawt Trace Osterman :)  Items making their debut this weekend at the fair will not be available in TOSL stores until after February 14th!  (Or maybe even later, depending on whether QQ's busy warding off suitors or stuffing herself silly with chocolates over Valentine's weekend...)

Please visit the TOSL booth at slurl.com/secondlife/Iridium/127/90/91, but don't forget to check out the other amazing designers at the fair!

For more information on the Fair and intellectual property rights, please visit artistsvoicesl.com.

We also want to send a HUGE thanks to Kat Alderson and the Artist's Voice team for organizing this awesome event!

The Season's Hunt!

The Winter 2011 Season's Hunt is finally here!  (Actually, the hunt started yesterday, but I'm behind schedule as always... my bad :P)  But, as the hunt will last until January 29, 2011, you will have plenty of time to track down the amazing hunt items from more than 60 designers, hidden in snowmen of all shapes and sizes.  Join "The Seasons Hunt(ers) Group" for clues if you need a hand and check http://theseasonshunt.wordpress.com for updates.  Please do not contact the designers for clues, because our lips are sealed :-)

... And if you see Hallie Galli in world, don't forget to give her a big fat bear hug for organizing such an awesome event!

Oops, we made a boo boo :(

First off, happy new year to everyone!  I was hoping to start off 2011 with something a bit cooler than "oops we messed up and now we're recalling some stuff"... but sometimes you just gotta live with it!
Thanks to our very awesome customers for bringing this to our attention, we've realized that there's a big buggy error with the macaron boxes and candy dishes/jars sold through our tea shop on the Herman Melville sim.  Although these objects are supposed to give you unlimited cookies/candies when touched, some of the cookies/candies inside the objects have been accidentally set to no copy.  As a result, they're depleted from the source object after you touch it a few times!

So, please please PLEASE send an IM to Quinlan Quimby ASAP if you have one of these buggy items purchased before January 4, 2011.  We're working to fix the bug and replace your purchase as soon as we can.

Though your baby ain't choking (as is almost always the case when merchandise is recalled in RL) when you're stuff's broken in SL that ain't no joking, either (please ignore the bad attempt at rhyming)!

Thanks a million,
QQ
